Volk Packaging Corporation gives Vet to Vet Maine a home

The Volk Packaging Corp. has generously provided free office space, a phone line, and copying services to Vet to Vet Maine at its building at 11 Morin St., Biddeford. The nonprofit will also have use of the Volk conference room.

Derek Volk, president of Volk Packaging, heard about the Vet to Vet Maine from a friend, Tom Heels, who volunteers in the program.

“It is our honor to help the amazing Vet to Vet Maine program. Volk Packaging is committed to our veterans so helping Vet to Vet with their space issue seemed like a great idea,” said Volk.

The company also sponsors the Volk Packaging Heroes Wall, which features 200 tiles honoring military men and women from the area. Funds raised through the project are donated to the Biddeford, Saco, Old Orchard Beach VFW. The wall, which opened on June 6, has room for almost 500 more tiles. It is open to the public and has benches and lights for viewing around the clock. Vet to Vet Maine is most grateful to Derek and Douglas Volk, co-owner and CEO, for their generosity and warm welcome! The Volks’ gift has allowed Vet to Vet Maine to start up operations much sooner than would otherwise have been possible. Thank you!
