Vet to Vet Maine has set up a COVID-19 response campaign called “Here When It Counts,” to keep all Vet to Vet members informed and be available to problem solve and assist with coronavirus-related issues. Thanks to a grant from the New England Grassroots Environment Fund, Vet2Vet Maine is also offering help with groceries and supplies for the program’s veteran participants in need of assistance. The $1,000 grant, in response to the COVID-19 crisis, will be used to help pay for groceries and supplies for Vet2Vet veterans in need, supplement travel costs associated with delivering groceries and supplies, and cover the additional costs of telecommuting to reach all members of the program during these days of social isolation. For more information, questions, or requests for assistance, please contact Vet2Vet ME by calling Program Director Melissa Chason at 207-579-4024 or Exe. Dir. Susan Gold at 207-579-9204 or emailing email@example.com.
Many thanks to the New England Grassroots Environment Fund. The Grassroots Fund is dedicated to co-creating healthy and sustainable communities throughout New England. Grassroots Fund empowers individuals, groups and organizations working across a broad range of environmental and social justice issues. By helping them identify, select and access the specific tools, resources and connections they need to challenge existing systems, groups are able to develop lasting solutions to the complex problems affecting the places they live and the health of the people who live there. Grassroots Fund supports changemakers who face systemic and structural barriers to traditional funding. To learn more visit www.grassrootsfund.org.
