A wonderfully inspirational presentation by Vet to Vet Maine volunteer Command Sergeant Major Gretchen Evans. Gretchen is one of the most decorated female soldiers in U.S. history. In this video, she shares the challenges she faced as a severely disabled veteran and how she overcame those challenges to become an international star as the founding member of Team Unbroken, a group of disabled veteran and civilian competitors on Bear Grylls’s “World’s Toughest Race.” Thanks to the Maine Humanities Council, whose generous grant funded this presentation.
