Vet2Vet Maine welcomes new staff

Vet2Vet Maine is pleased to introduce our newest staff members!

Say Hello to Maggie Catanese, Outreach Director

We welcome Maggie Catanese, who has recently accepted the position of Outreach Director at Vet to Vet Maine.

Maggie has been a noteworthy leader in the financial management industry, serving the government and public sector for over 15 years. Her acumen has led to success in the defense, healthcare, and energy technology industries. She is a small business owner in Southern Maine and an outspoken advocate for Veteran rights and benefits.

A third-generation Veteran, Maggie served in the U.S. Air Force during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. She is the recipient of the Air Force Achievement and Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, along with numerous other awards and distinctions.

Maggie’s family includes her husband, also a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and two children. She is a constant presence on the community athletic scene, often coaching youth programs, fundraising, and volunteering. When asked why she was adding this role to her already full life, Maggie said, “Quite frankly, if I can’t be with family, a close second is surrounding myself with Veterans and likeminded individuals that support and honor our Armed Forces, past and present. As the Outreach Coordinator, I’m excited to spend my days recruiting new volunteers and seeking out Maine Veterans who could benefit from the support and services that Vet2VetME provides. It has only been a few weeks since I became part of this organization and already the testimonials, stories of friendship, and the generosity of time and resources has moved me beyond words.”

You can reach Maggie at outreach@vet2vetmaine.org or by phone at (207) 579-4017(c). She will be on duty Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8am-4pm and Fridays, 8am-12pm.

Melissa will be featured in the next issue of the e-newsletter. Welcome back, Melissa!
